عندما ترى البيوت  طليت بالجص والنورة المستخرجة من جبال اليمن العزيز، وكانت   وعندما يقوم الأطفال بمعية ءابائهم بأخذ أكوام من الرماد ويجعلونه على أسطح المنازل على هيئة أوعية دائرية، ثم يصبون فيها الكاز ويشعلونها  وعندما تسمع الاطفال جماعة وافرادا يمشون في الشوارع مرددين اهزوجة ” رمضان يا رمضان ياشهر التوبة والغفران ، ويارمضان يا ابو الحماحم ادي لي قرعة ودراهم فاعلم ان رمضان انار الدنيا وحل فينا

اما وقت الظهر فيلاحظ على المساجد امتلاؤها، حيث يقبل الجميع إلى الصلاة، وبعد الصلاة يظل أغلب الناس في المساجد يتلقّون العلم الشرعيّ ويقرأون القرءان ويذكرون الله تعالى، ويصطحب الناس معهم أولادهم كي يشاركوهم في هذا الأجر، ويظل الجميع في هذا الجوّ الإيمانيّ حتى يصلّي الناس صلاة العصر. وبعد الصلاة يكون هناك درس دينيّ يلقيه إمام الحيّ. وعند اقتراب أذان المغرب، يستعدّ الناس بحيث يأتي كل واحد منهم بشىء من إفطاره إلى المسجد ليجتمعوا هناك ويفطروا معًا، ما يزيد في تعميق أواصر التقارب بينهم، كما أنه مواساةٌ للفقراء الذين لا يجدون ما يفطرون عليه. وأما في ليالي رمضان، فكثيرا ما يردد الأطفال ما تعرف بـ”التمسية” منها: يا مساء أسعد الله مساء .. يا مساء جيت أمسي عندكم اما الراغبين بالزواج فالعشرين من رمضان موعدهم فتجري الاحتفالات بهم جماعات ايذانا بقرب زواجهم بعد العيد نسال الله ان يبارك لنا في اوطاننا وان يعود السلام والاطمئنان الى ربوع اليمن والى ان نلقاكم في الغد السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
