تاريخ الكعبة

روي في كتاب معجم البلدان لياقوتٍ الحمَوي ما ملخّصُه: أنَّ أولَ ما خلق الله تعالى في الأرض مكانُ الكعبة، ثم دحا الأرضَ من تحتِها فهي سُرّة الأرض ووسطُ الدنيا وأمُّ القرى أولها الكعبة، وبكّةُ حول مكة، وحول الحرم الدنيا.

والكعبةُ أولُ بيت وضع لعبادة الله تعالى في الأرض، وكان الناس يحُجون إلى مكة وإلى موضع البيت، ولم يزل البيت منذ أُهبط ءادمُ إلى الأرض معَظَّما تتناسَخُه الأمَم والمِلَل أمةً بعد أمة وملةً بعد مِلة، وكانت الملائكةُ تحجّه قبل ءادم.

وكان ءادم عليه السلام قد بنى الكعبة من خمسةِ جبال، من طورِ سيناء وطور زيتا وأُحد وجبلِ لبنان والجودي، وجعلت قواعدها من حِراء، وبعد أن حصل الطوفان وتهدمت الكعبة على إثره أصبح موضع البيت رابيةٌ من الحجارة لا يغمرها السيل، وكان يأتيها المظلوم ويدعو عندها المكروب فقلّ من دعا عندها إلا استجيب له، وكان النّاس يحُجّون إلى موضع البيت حتى بوّأ الله عزّ وجلّ مكانه لإبراهيم عليه السّلام.

فقد أمر الله تعالى نبيّه إبراهيمَ الخليلَ عليه السلام ببناءِ البيتِ الحرام

وقيل: إن الذي دلَّه على موضعِ البيت جبريلُ عليه السلام. فسارَ إبراهيمُ إلى مكةَ، فلمَّا وصلها وجَدَ ابنَه إسماعيل يُصلِح نَبْلًا له وراء زمزم وكان قد شبّ، فقال له: يا إسماعيل، إنّ الله قد أمرني أن أبني له بيتا. فقال إسماعيل: فأطِع ربَّك. فقال إبراهيم: قد أمرك أن تُعينَني على بنائه. فقال إسماعيل: إذن أفعل. فقام معه فجعل إبراهيمُ يَبنيه وإسماعيل يناوله الحجارة

واحتاج إبراهيم إلى أن يرتفع بالحجارة، فداس على حجر فارتفع به في الهواء حتى بنى الكعبة كما أراد، وكان هذا الحجر هو مَقام إبراهيم الذي بقي عليه أثر قدم إبراهيم وفي هذا ءايةٌ للناس.

ويروى أنه لما فُرِغ منْ بناءِ الكعبة أُمر إبراهيم أن يؤذِّن في الناس بالحج، فقال إبراهيم: يا رب، وما يبلغ صوتي؟ قال: أذن وعليّ البلاغ، فنادى: أيّها النّاس إنّ الله قد كتب عليكم الحجّ إلى البيت العتيق، فسمعه ما بين السّماء والأرض وما في أصلاب الرّجال وأرحام النّساء، فأجابه من ءامن ممن سبق في علم الله أنه يحج إلى يوم القيامة، فأجيب: لبيك لبيك.

ثم إن البيت انهدم، فبنته العمالقة، ثم مرّ عليه الدهر، فبَنته قبيلة جُرهم، ثم مرّ عليه دهر، فبَنته قريش، وكان بناءُ قريش للبيت ونبينا محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم حسب ما قيل له من العمر خمس وثلاثون سنة.
