أصحاب الفيل وتخريب الكعبة

للكعبة المشرفة تاريخ حافل وحوادث جرت أمامها، منها ما هو لخيرها، ومنها ما هو لخرابها، وبفضل الله تعالى رُد كثير ممن حاولوا تخريبها، ومنهم أبرهة وجيشه أصحاب الفيل.

كان أبرهة الأشرم حاكما على بلاد اليمن، وقد بنى هيكلا سماه القُلَّيْسَ، وقال: لأضيفن إليها حجّ العرب، فسمع بذلك رجل من بني كنانة، فدخله ليلا وأحدث فيه، فبلغ ذلك أبرهة، فحلف ليسيرن إلى الكعبة وليهدمنها، فسار بجنوده واستصحب الفيل، ولما دنا من مكة أمر أصحابه بالغارة على إبل الناس، فأصابوا إبلا لعبد المطلب وءامنة حامل برسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وبعث أبرهة أحد جنوده فقال: سل عن شريف مكة وأخبره أني لم ءات للقتال، وإنما جئت لأهدم هذا البيت، فانطلق الرسول فلقي عبد المطلب فقال: إن الملك أرسلني إليك فانطلق معي إليه، فانطلق، ولما دخل على أبرهة أكرمه وأجلّه، وقال لترجمانه: قل له ما حاجتك؟ فقال له الترجمان، فقال عبد المطلب: حاجتي أن ترد علي مائتي بعير أصابها أصحابك. فقال أبرهة لترجمانه: قل له لقد كنتَ أعجبتني حين رأيتك، ولقد زهدتُ فيك الآن، تكلمني في إبل لك أصبتها وتترك بيتا تعظمونه؟ فقال عبد المطلب: أنا صاحب هذه الإبل، ولهذا البيت ربّ يحميه، فقال أبرهة الملعون: ما كان ليمنعه مني.

فأمر بإبِله فردت عليه، وخرج وأخبر قريشا وأمرهم أن يتفرقوا في الشِّعاب ورءوس الجبال خوفا عليهم، ففعلوا، وأتى عبد المطلب الكعبة، فأخذ بحلقة الباب وجعل يقول:

ثم إن أبرهة أصبح متهيئا للدخول، فبرك الفيل فبعثوه فأبى، فوجهوه إلى اليمن راجعا، فهرول، وإلى المشرق كذلك، ثم وجهوه إلى الحرم، فأبى، فأرسل الله طيرا من البحر وكان مع كل طير ثلاثة أحجار، حجران في رجليه وحجر في منقاره كانت كأمثال الحمص والعدس.

فلما غشيت القوم أرسلتها عليهم، فلم تصب تلك الحجارة أحدا إلا هلك، وكان الحجر يقع على رأس الرجل فيخرج من دبره.

وكان على كل حجر اسم الذي وقع عليه، فهلكوا ولم يدخلوا الحرم وبعث الله عزّ وجلّ على أبرهة داء في جسده فتساقطت أناملُه، وانصدع صدره قطعتين عن قلبه وهلَك.

ورأى أهل مكة الطير قد أقبلت من ناحية البحر، فقال عبد المطلب: إنّ هذه لطير غريبة، ثم بعث ابنه عبد الله على فَرس لينظر، فرجع يركض ويقول: هلك القوم جميعا، فخرج عبد المطلب وأصحابه وغنموا أموالهم.

والحمد لله ربّ العالمين أولا وءاخرا.
