(بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ)

   أَىْ أَبْتَدِئُ تَصْنِيفِى لِهَذَا الْكِتَابِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ أَىْ ذَاكِرًا لَهُ مُتَبَرِّكًا بِهِ مَعَ (الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ) أَىِ الْمَالِكِ لِكُلِّ مَا دَخَلَ فِى الْوُجُودِ (الْحَىِّ الْقَيُّومِ الْمُدَبِّرِ) أَىِ الْمُقَدِّرِ (لِجَمِيعِ) ذَوَاتِ (الْمَخْلُوقِينَ) وَأَفْعَالِهِمْ وَأَقْوَالِهِمْ وَأَحْوَالِهِمْ (وَالصَّلاةُ وَالسَّلامُ الأَتَمَّانِ الأَكْمَلانِ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى ءَالِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ) الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ.

   (وَبَعْدُ فَهَذَا) كِتَابٌ (مُخْتَصَرٌ) أَىْ قَلِيلُ الأَلْفَاظِ كَثِيرُ الْمَعَانِى (جَامِعٌ لِأَغْلَبِ الضَّرُورِيَّاتِ) مِنْ عُلُومِ الدِّينِ (الَّتِى) لا يُسْتَغْنَى عَنْهَا وَ(لا يَجُوزُ لِكُلِّ مُكَلَّفٍ جَهْلُهَا مِنْ) أُمُورِ (الِاعْتِقَادِ وَمَسَائِلَ فِقْهِيَّةٍ مِنَ الطَّهَارَةِ إِلَى الْحَجِّ) بِمَا يَشْمَلُ الصَّلاةَ وَالزَّكَاةَ وَالصِّيامَ (وَشَىْءٍ) قَلِيلٍ (مِنْ أَحْكَامِ الْمُعَامَلاتِ) كَالإِجَارَةِ وَالْقِرَاضِ وَالرَّهْنِ وَنَحْوِهَا مَعَ بَيَانِ حُكْمِ الرِّبَا وَبَعْضِ الْبُيُوعِ الْمُحَرَّمَةِ (عَلَى مَذْهَبِ الإِمَامِ) الْمُجْتَهِدِ الْعَلَمِ مُحَمَّدِ بنِ إِدْرِيسَ (الشَّافِعِىِّ) الْقُرَشِىِّ الْمُطَّلِبِىِّ رَضِىَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ الْمَوْلُودِ سَنَةَ مِائَةٍ وَخَمْسِينَ لِلْهِجْرَةِ وَالْمُتَوَفَّى سَنَةَ مِائَتَيْنِ وَأَرْبَعٍ (ثُمَّ بَيَانِ) الْوَاجِبَاتِ الْقَلْبِيَّةِ وَ(مَعَاصِي الْقَلْبِ وَالْجَوَارِحِ) جَمْعُ جَارِحَةٍ وَهِىَ أَعْضَاءُ الإِنْسَانِ (كَاللِّسَانِ وَغَيْرِهِ) مِنْ بَطْنٍ وَعَيْنٍ وَأُذُنٍ وَيَدٍ وَفَرْجٍ وَرِجْلٍ ثُمَّ بَيَانِ مَعَاصِى الْبَدَنِ لِيُخْتَمَ الْكِتَابُ بِفَصْلٍ عُقِدَ لِبَيَانِ التَّوْبَةِ. (الأَصْلُ) الَّذِى أَخَذَ مِنْهُ الْمُؤَلِّفُ كِتَابَهُ الْمُخْتَصَرَ هُوَ كِتَابُ سُلَّمِ التَّوْفِيقِ إِلَى مَحَبَّةِ اللَّهِ عَلَى التَّحْقِيقِ (لِبَعْضِ الْفُقَهَاءِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّينَ وَهُوَ) الْعَالِمُ الْفَقِيهُ الشَّيْخُ (عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بنُ حُسَيْنِ بنِ طَاهِرِ) بنِ مُحَمَّدِ بنِ هَاشِمٍ الشَّافِعِىُّ الْعَلَوِىُّ الْمَوْلُودُ سَنَةَ أَلْفٍ وَمِائَةٍ وَإِحْدَى وَتِسْعِينَ وَالْمُتَوَفَّى سَنَةَ أَلْفٍ وَمِائَتَيْنِ وَاثْنَتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ، اخْتُصِرَ كِتَابُهُ (ثُمَّ ضُمِّنَ زِيَادَاتٍ كَثِيرَةً مِنْ نَفَائِسِ الْمَسَائِلِ) تَكْشِفُ مَكْنُونَاتِ هَذَا الْكِتَابِ وَتُوضِحُهُ (مَعَ حَذْفِ مَا ذَكَرَهُ) الشَّيْخُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بنُ حُسَيْنٍ (فِى التَّصَوُّفِ) مِمَّا لا يَدْخُلُ تَحْتَ مَوْضُوعِ الْكِتَابِ لِأَنَّ الْمُخْتَصِرَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ فِى هَذَا الْكِتَابِ الضَّرُورِيَّاتِ مِنْ عِلْمِ الدِّينِ وَهَذِهِ الأُمُورُ لَيْسَتْ مِنْهَا [مَعَ كَوْنِهِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَوْرَدَ فِى مُخْتَصَرِهِ أُمُورًا لَيْسَتْ مِنَ الضَّرُورِيَّاتِ لِفَائِدَةٍ رَءَاهَا] (وَ)مَعَ (تَغْيِيرٍ لِبَعْضِ الْعِبَارَاتِ) بِعِبَارَاتٍ أَوْضَحَ (مِمَّا لا يُؤَدِّي إِلَى خِلافِ الْمَوْضُوعِ) قَالَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ (وَقَدْ نَذْكُرُ مَا رَجَّحَهُ بَعْضٌ مِنَ الْفُقَهَاءِ الشَّافِعِيِّينَ كَالْبُلْقِينِىِّ) الإِمَامِ سِرَاجِ الدِّينِ عُمَرَ بنِ رَسْلانَ الْمَوْلُودِ سَنَةَ سَبْعِمِائَةٍ وَأَرْبَعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَالْمُتَوَفَّى سَنَةَ ثَمَانِمِائَةٍ وَخَمْسٍ (لِتَضْعِيفِ مَا) ذُكِرَ (فِى الأَصْلِ فَيَنْبَغِى) عَلَى الْمُكَلَّفِ (عِنَايَتُهُ بِهِ) أَىْ بِالْمُخْتَصَرِ بِأَنْ يَتَلَقَّاهُ وَيَدْرُسَهُ وَيُعِيدَ مَسَائِلَهُ إِلَى أَنْ يَحْفَظَهَا وَتَرْسَخَ فِى قَلْبِهِ وَذَلِكَ مَعَ إِخْلاصِ النِّيَّةِ لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى (لِيُقْبَلَ عَمَلُهُ) عِنْدَ اللَّهِ (أَسْمَيْنَاهُ مُخْتَصَرَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَرَرِىِّ الْكَافِلَ بِعِلْمِ الدِّينِ الضَّرُورِىِّ) وَهُوَ الْعِلْمُ الشَّامِلُ لِمَعْرِفَةِ اللَّهِ وَمَعْرِفَةِ رَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ مِنْ ضَرُورِيَّاتِ الِاعْتِقَادِ وَالشَّامِلُ أَيْضًا لِمَعْرِفَةِ أَحْكَامِ الْعِبَادَاتِ وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ مِنْ ضَرُورِيَّاتِ عِلْمِ الدِّينِ. وَلَمَّا كَانَ مَعْرِفَةُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالإِيـمَانُ بِهِمَا هُوَ أَهَمَّ الْوَاجِبَاتِ وَأَفْضَلَهَا بَدَأَ الْمُؤَلِّفُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ كِتَابَهُ بِالْكَلامِ عَلَى (ضَرُورِيَّاتِ الِاعْتِقَادِ) أَىْ مَا لا يَسْتَغْنِى الْمُكَلَّفُ عَنْهُ مِنْ أُمُورِ الْعَقِيدَةِ فَقَالَ (فَصْلٌ) فِى بَيَانِ مَعْنَى الشَّهَادَتَيْنِ.
